Its sesame seeds qualified for Environmental Product Declaration
Tekfen Agri continues to blaze new trails with its activities encompassing its vision for a better environment and a better world. As a result of measurement of the environmental impacts of all stages from cradle to gate.
Tekfen Agri was awarded the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certificate. In addition to being the first company to receive EPD certificate in the agriculture and food sector in Turkey, Tekfen Agri also became the first company to receive EPD certificate for sesame seeds throughout the world.
Tekfen Agri, having qualified for receiving EPD, an independently verified and registered certificate that ensures transparent and comparable communication of environmental impacts arising throughout product life cycles, with several environmental parameter declarations, particularly carbon footprint, using 2020 production data for sesame seed, continues to invest in the future with its experience from its solid foundations and long-standing history, as well as gradually improving its environmental impact.
Sesame Seed EPD document has been published at the International EPD System and EPD Turkey with registration number S-P-02233.
